Roswell, New Mexico |
I was just visiting Roswell and while touring the various attractions I decided to ventured out to the crash site to check things out. While taking pictures at the site, this object showed up in the sky over... | | |

Socorro, New Mexico |
I was on patrol with the Socorro police department and at 5:45 PM, I was in pursuit of a vehicle for a speeding violation. During the chase, I heard a loud roar in the distance, accompanied by a blue-orange flame rising... |
| Details Cont'd: into the air. There was a dynamite shack not far from me so I thought that it might have exploded. I gave up on the speeder and started in that direction while at the same time notifying dispatch.
As I approached the location of the shack, I noticed a shining object ahead of me, at approximately one to two hundred yards distance. I thought it could be an overturned vehicle and that it's gas tank exploded. As I got closer, I realized I was actually observing an oval-shaped object with no windows, or doors. It was about the same size and/or bulk of a medium-sized automobile. There was an unusual red insignia on the side of the object.
Suddenly, two beings, which I thought were children, dressed in white overalls appeared and one of them seem to jump when he noticed me. Perhaps I started him in some way.
I was just in shock. As I tried to regain my composure, I radioed the details into the Sheriff's Office and decided to see if I could get a closer look. It was then that realized that the small beings were gone and I was surprised to hear a loud roar, as a blue flame shot out of the underside of the object.
Fearing that the object was going to explode, I fell to the ground to protect myself. Instead, the object lifted off the ground, retracted its "legs", and slowly started to head southeast. It appeared to stay on that heading for about ten to fifteen miles.
Having intercepted my earlier radio transmission, State Police Sergeant Sam Chavez arrived at the scene just after the craft disappeared into the sky. As other officers and investigators arrived, they discovered deep landing marks and footprints on the ground.
FBI and Air Force personnel soon joined the local authorities and I took them to where the craft had landed. They found bent and burned brush in several places surrounding the landing site. Measurements taken by police verified that there were four indentations on the ground. The distance between them formed a quadrilateral whose diagonals intersected at exactly ninety degrees. Patrolman Lonnie Zamora, Socorro Police Department
EDITOR'S NOTES: The CIA evaluation of this incident was provided by the Freedom of Information Act and made available for public inspection on January 2, 1981. In the publication entitled "Studies in Intelligence", released in 1966, there was a section entitled "Policeman's Report". This was written by Hector Quintanilla, Jr. who was the former head of the Air Force's Project Blue Book at that time. The report read as follows...
"There is no doubt that Lonnie Zamora saw an object which left quite an impression on him. There is also no question about Zamora's reliability. He is a serious police officer, a pillar of his church, and a man well versed in recognizing airborne vehicles in his area. He is puzzled by what he saw, and frankly, so are we. This is the best-documented case on record, and still we have been unable, in spite of thorough investigation, to find the vehicle, or other stimulus that scared Zamora to the point of panic."
Dr. J. Allen Hynek of the Center for UFO Studies, interviewed Zamora on more than one occasion and believed every word that Zamora said. In Hynek's own words, "There is much more evidence to indicate that we are dealing with a most real phenomenon of undetermined origin."
Officer Zamora was known as a well-respected and reliable eyewitness, without a hint of personal, or professional impropriety in his lifetime. Immediately after the incident, he made a drawing detailing his experience. Zamora became so tired of the subject that he eventually avoided both UFOlogists as well as the Air Force, taking a job managing a gasoline station. Sadly, he died on November 2, 2009, in Socorro from a heart attack at the age of seventy-six. He will be missed by all of those who trusted and believed his story.
The images below are included to enhance visitor understanding of this incredible incident in UFO history. It is important to mention just how amazing it is that the images depicting Officer Zamora's experience reflect the "tic-tac" shaped object(s) described by U.S. Navy personnel, supported by a video clip released by the U.S. military in 2016. Roswell, New Mexico |
In a briefing dated 18 November 1952, prepared for then President-Elect Dwight D. Eisenhower, an unknown author wrote in regards to the Roswell UFO crash on 02 July 1947 (see below). The briefing read as follows... |
| Details Cont'd: "On 07 July, 1947, a secret operation was begun to assure recovery of the wreckage of this object for scientific study. During the course of this operation, aerial reconnaissance discovered that four small human-like beings had apparently ejected from the craft at some point before it exploded. These had fallen to earth about two miles east of the wreckage site. All four were dead and badly decomposed due to action by predators and exposure to the elements during the approximately one week time period which had elapsed before their discovery. A special scientific team took charge of removing these bodies for study. The wreckage of the craft was also removed to several different locations. Civilian and military witnesses in the area were debriefed, and news reporters were given the effective cover story that the object had been a misguided weather research balloon.
A covert analytical effort organized by Gen. Twining and Dr. Bush acting on the direct orders of the President, resulted in a preliminary consensus (19 September, 1947) that the disc was most likely a short range reconnaissance craft. This conclusion was based for the most part on the craft's size and the apparent lack of any identifiable provisioning. A similar analysis of the four dead occupants was arranged by Dr. Bronk. It was the tentative conclusion of this group (30 November, 1947) that although these creatures are human-like in appearance, the biological and evolutionary processes responsible for their development has apparently been quite different from those observed or postulated in homo-sapiens. Dr Bronk's tea has suggested the term "Extra-terrestrial Biological Entities", or "EBEs", be adopted as the standard term of reference for these creatures until such time as a more definitive designation can be agreed upon.
Since it is virtually certain that these craft do not origin- ate in any country on earth, considerable speculation has centered around what their point of origin may be and how they get here. Mars was and remains a possibility, although some scientists, most notably Dr. Menzel, consider it more likely that we are dealing with beings from another solar system entirely.
Numerous examples of what appear to be a form of writing were found in the wreckage. Efforts to decipher these have remained largely unsuccessful. Equally unsuccessful have been efforts to determine the method of propulsion or the nature or method of transmission of the power source involved. Research along these lines has been complicated by the complete absence of identifiable wings, propellers, jets, or other conventional methods of propulsion and guidance, as well as a total lack of metallic wiring, vacuum tubes, or similar recognizable electronic components. It is assumed that the propulsion unit was completely destroyed by the explosion which caused the crash.
A need for as much additional information as possible about these craft, their performance characteristics and their purpose led to the undertaking known as U.S. Air Force Project SIGN in December, 1947. In order to preserve security, liaison between SIGN and Majestic-12 was limited to two individuals within the Intelligence Division of Air Materiel Command whose role was to pass along certain types of information through channels. SIGN evolved into Project GRUDGE in December, 1948. The operation is currently being conducted under the code name BLUE BOOK, with liaison maintained through the Air Force officer who is head of the project.
Implications for the National Security are of continuing importance in that the motives and ultimate intentions of these visitors remain completely unknown. In addition, a significant upsurge in the surveillance activity of these craft beginning in May and continuing through the autumn of this year has caused considerable concern that new developments may be imminent. It is for these reasons, as well as the obvious international and technological considerations and the ultimate need to avoid a public panic at all costs, that the Majestic-12 Group remains of the unanimous opinion that imposition of the strictest security precautions should continue without interruption into the new administration. At the same time, contingency plan should be held in continued readiness should the need to make a public announcement present itself." Anonymous
EDITOR'S NOTE: This Briefing Document became known as "Operation Majestic 12", but some government agencies, including the FBI, claim the document is bogus. However, there are litterally hundreds of eyewitnesses which have come forward through the years since this incident occurred who have claimed to have had direct knowledge of the events surrounding this intriguing enigma. |

Roswell, New Mexico |
A few years after the Roswell incident had occurred, I met with Dr. von Braun and I asked him about his involvement with that historical event. He explained how he and his (unnamed, for now) associates had been taken... |
| Details Cont'd: to the crash site after most of the military were pulled back. After a quick analysis, they found that the craft did not appear to be made of metal as we know metal on earth. He said it seemed to be created from something biological, like skin.
I was lost as to what he indicated, other than thinking perhaps the craft was "alive." The recovered bodies were temporarily being kept in a nearby medical tent. They were small, very frail and had large heads. Their eyes were large. Their skin was grayish and reptilian in texture. He said it looked similar to the skin texture of rattle snakes he'd seen several times at White Sands.
He went on to say that his inspection of the debris had even left him puzzled: very thin, aluminum colored, like silvery chewing gum wrappers. Very light and extremely strong. The interior of the craft was nearly bare of equipment, as if the creatures and craft were part of a single unit.
While I am not sure of the exact date of this incident, July 5th is my best guest, shortly before the recovery and clean-up operation ensued on the 7th. I never released this amazing data to Major Keyhoe and NICAP, other organizations, or the public, until now. I considered my honor sacred when a vow was made. Roswell, New Mexico |
I was a local rancher living on a tract of land located seventy-five miles northwest of Walker Field, formerly known at the time of this incident as Roswell Army Air Base. Following some local storms that had gone... |
| Details Cont'd: through the area, I went out to check on a remote water pump and inspect my ranch to see which fields had received rain as these would be the best to move the cattle to for grazing. On the night prior, I had heard what sounded like an explosion, or a loud, thunderous noise and thought it was just the sounds from the passing storm.
Upon inspection of the site, I found a field of debris one hundred yards wide stetching nearly two thirds of a mile across my ranch. The material was strange. Some it had unusual writing on it, like some type of hyroglyphics. Other peices of the wreck consisted of a thin metallic material that you could wad up in your hand and it would just spread back out like water with no wrinkles. The material seemed indistructible. I even tried to burn it and it wouldn't burn!
I drove to my nearest neighbor's house, which was several miles away, and I showed them some of the pieces from the wreckage that I had picked up in that field. They admitted that it looked "quite odd". I then decided to contact Roswell Army Air Base and let them know about what I had found. The rest is history.
In retrospect, knowing what I now know, I wish I had never made that call and had kept everything to myself. It was all just too frustrating and stressful to deal with in the days and years which followed. Mac Brazel
