Details Cont'd: annexed by the kingdom of Rwanda in 1830. Having see it with my eyes I can firmly attest that it is clearly not a basket but a UFO that yes, technically resembles a traditional Rwandan basket, but is more similar to Flying Saucers that many UFO witnesses elsewhere have seen. It makes sense that ancient Rwandans refereed to it as a flying basket in the same way UFOs in the west are referred to as flying saucers, because this is how they could define it based on what was in their environment.

It was a night when several villagers who told me this is the time of the year, early February, that they usually see it, that their parents grandparents and other forebears also saw it. It passed by so fast in a straight horizontal trajectory and momentarily stopped, hovered for a few seconds and then seemed to vanish!

When this incident spread in town, the police were there, which didn't seem odd but then things got weird when the DMI or Rwanda's military intelligence showed up and began harassing those who had witnessed it. Some have been imprisoned and some are missing.

I may be next because here in Rwanda when the government decides to make you disappear, it is usually over for you. But what's disturbing is they usually just disappear people who are political and never have they ever bothered people from indulging in what was considered just traditional Rwandan mythology. There have been a number of UFO Reports received from Rwanda and we are working to add those into this forum of our website as quickly as possible. The number of Rwanda UFO sightings are growing every year as more and more people turn their attention skyward. Additionally, many people now have a camera in their hands and frequently capture incredible footage of very strange and unexplained or unidentified flying objects in the Rwanda day and night time sky. Rwanda residents are becoming more saavy to the fact that the experiences others have reported are not just a figment of their imagination and are certainly not a matter of mass halucination. A large percentage of the United States population now believes that alien contact may have, or might be presently occuring. Furthermore, the government has revealed that UFOs are real, now referring to them as "UAP" which stands for Unexplained Aerial Phenomena. This has added much credibility to the phenomenon as a whole and it is high time that Rwanda UFO reports be taken seriously and given the scientific attention that they deserve. There has been much evidence to support the existence of Rwanda UFOs gathered through the years by giants in the field of research including the late J. Allen Hynek, who was involved with the Government's "Project Blue Book" and later to become the Founder of the Center for UFO Studies, now located in Chicago, Illinois. It was he who came up with the classification system for Close Encounters with UFOs and their occupants.
