Madison, Mississippi |
At around 7:30 PM my daughter and I observed an object from our home in Flora, Mississippi. The craft had primarily red lights, but it had all sorts of other strange lights on it, as well. We noticed it at a forty-five... |
| Details Cont'd: degree angle above the city of Madison. At one point the craft lit up with a white light. While completely illuminated, you could tell is was a giant silver disc. Also, there were two other lights moving back and forth past one another. We were absolutely certain about what we saw. William |

Gulfport and Lymon, Mississippi |
It was a Wednesday morning at approximately 11:10 AM. I saw a silver round or oval-shaped flying object heading north to northwest. It had blinking white to silver bright lights on the bottom. The weather was warm with... |
| Details Cont'd: southern breezes and low, white vapor clouds beginning in the early morning hours remaining throughout the day. It appeared in full view for a few moments above the tree line, from a large cloud formation, traveling at jet speed.
At first glance, it resembled a runaway hot air balloon when bright silver-white lights began to flash from the bottom half , when the sun reflected its sterling silver color. No sound was heard. It kept on a north/north west direction until it disappeared into a billowing cloud formation. A few minutes later, there were five vapor trails in the northern skies, in the same direction the object was heading. Richard |

Pascagoula, Mississippi |
In what may be a related incident to the report on 10/11/1973 (see below), and only a couple of weeks after that chilling account, U.S. Coast Guardsmen and fishermen had an encounter with an underwater... |
| Details Cont'd: metallic object, or USO. This strange object had an amber light on it, and the Coast Guard chased through many channels of the Pascagoula River. At times, the object was close enough to touch, but each time it was prodded with a large boat hook, it would turn off it's light, move a distance away, and turn its light back on. This unusual encounter lasted for about forty minutes before the craft finally disappeared completely. S.A. McGee, Founder and Director, U.S. UFO Center |

Pascagoula, Mississippi |
I and a friend of mine by the name of Calvin Parker, both of us from Gautier, Mississippi, were out doing some fishing in the Pascagoula River. We had heard that there had been some intensive UFO sightings the night... |
| Details Cont'd: before over in New Orleans, Louisiana, but for us, that was just another wild fish tale! On this particular night, our skepticism was about to be whetted.
It was a dark night about 9 PM when we suddenly heard a type of buzzing sound behind us. We turned to see a glowing, egg-shaped object with bluish lighting on the front facing side. The unusual craft was hovering just a few feet above the ground, and about thirty feet from the shoreline.
As we watched, a door opened in the object, and three strange beings began to float just above the water straight toward us. Though the beings had legs, they did not use them, they simply floated across the river! The beings were about five feet tall with bullet-shaped heads, no necks, and slits for mouths. Where their noses or ears would be, they had thin, conical objects which stuck out like carrots from a snowman's head. They had no eyes, grey, wrinkled skin, round feet, and claw-like hands.
I was grabbed by two of these creatures, and the third grabbed Parker. I noticed that when they touched him, he simply appeared to faint from fright. When the beings put their arms under my body to support me, I suddenly felt numb all over. We were both then "floated" into a a brightly-lit room inside the craft. Once inside the room, an eye-like device examined us all over. Shortly thereafter, while left floating, the beings left the room I was in, presumably to examine Parker.
Approximately twenty minutes after the ordeal had begun, it was over, and I was "floated" back outside to find my friend on the ground in prayer and he was crying. Only a moment later, the craft rose straight up into the air and disappeared, leaving both us more than a bit shaken.
As we tried to regain our composure, we felt obligated to tell someone and despite the fear of ridicule, we phoned Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi. They referred us to the Biloxi Sheriff's Office. Instead, we drove to our local newspaper. The office was closed so we then, and somewhat reluctantly, decided to take our bizarre story to the Sheriff after all.
Naturally, the Sheriff thought our story was some kind of a hoax. Apparently, in an effort to get to the truth, he put both of us into a room which was wired for sound. I think he was hoping that they would slip up and reveal why we were perpetuating such a strange tale. We were then encouraged to take lie-detector tests, which we both passed.
The Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO), sent University of California Professor James Harder to investigate. Harder hypnotized me, but I became so frightened that the session had to be aborted. Harder believed my story. And, at a later date, J. Allen Hynek from the Center for UFO Studies, who had also came to investigate the incident, later stated that there was definitely something here (in this case) that was not of terrestrial origin.
