While out under the night sky I observed an object moving from the southwest toward the south for appx 1 minute. Strangely, the object was cross-shaped and seemed to 'skip' across the sky toward true south...

Details Cont'd: This was no plane as it moved in what a appeared to be a non-bablistic way. I've never seen anything like it before and I wonder if anyone else observed this. Please report your experience here, if you did! Mark L.

Me and my friend have been watching the skies for weeks now, as of the date of this report. We have taken pictures with phones and cameras and have been seeing some rather strange things in the sky that we can't explain. We love to know what is going on! David

Buras, Louisiana

While driving home one night my wife and I noticed a bank of eight amber lights all in a row which appeared to be about six miles away towards the east in the direction of Buras, Louisiana. The lights were pulsing,

Details Cont'd: moving across the sky from north to south. The nearest light to the north would disappear while another would appear on the south side for each pulse of the craft. We watched it for about thirty seconds before all of the lights disappeared. From my vantage point, the craft looked to be several football fields long. I would love to know if anyone else saw anything this. I estimate that the craft was over the gulf of Mexico between Louisiana and Mississippi. I did call the Plaquemine Parish Police Department and told them of the sighting and asked if anyone had reported anything strange in our area. They said no one had. I can only imagine what they were thinking but we know what we saw. Charles / EDITOR'S NOTE: The description given by the witness would imply rotation of the lights, or the craft itself.

Thank you for visiting the United States UFO Information and Research Center's Louisiana UFO Sightings Database. There have been a number of UFO Reports received from Louisiana and we are working to add those into this forum of our website as quickly as possible. The number of Louisiana UFO sightings are growing every year as more and more people turn their attention skyward. Additionally, many people now have a camera in their hands and frequently capture incredible footage of very strange and unexplained or unidentified flying objects in the Louisiana day and night time sky. Louisiana residents are becoming more saavy to the fact that the experiences others have reported are not just a figment of their imagination and are certainly not a matter of mass halucination. A large percentage of the United States population now believes that alien contact may have, or might be presently occuring. Furthermore, the government has revealed that UFOs are real, now referring to them as "UAP" which stands for Unexplained Aerial Phenomena. This has added much credibility to the phenomenon as a whole and it is high time that Louisiana UFO reports be taken seriously and given the scientific attention that they deserve. There has been much evidence to support the existence of Louisiana UFOs gathered through the years by giants in the field of research including the late J. Allen Hynek, who was involved with the Government's "Project Blue Book" and later to become the Founder of the Center for UFO Studies, now located in Chicago, Illinois.
